Calculation and interpretation limits

Ateşman for Turkish: 198.825 - 40.175 × syllables/word - 2.610 × words/sentence. The raw result is rounded for display; values outside 0-100 are not hidden. The bar alone is clamped to that range for visualization.

Words containing letters are counted; numbers and standalone punctuation are not. Apostrophes within words are retained. Periods, question marks, and exclamation marks split sentences, and a final unterminated segment is counted. Decimal points do not split sentences. Abbreviations, headings, and lists can affect automatic sentence counts. Blank lines separate paragraphs.

Turkish syllables are estimated from vowel counts; abbreviations, foreign words, and number pronunciation are not resolved. No score is returned if a word has no vowel. The English page uses the Flesch formula and an approximate syllable rule. Language is not detected automatically; English text pasted into the Turkish page will not receive a valid language-specific assessment.

The Turkish source example is a short check of the Ateşman calculation only; English input on this page uses the Flesch formula. A readability score does not establish that everyone will understand a text or determine education level. Text is processed in your browser and is not sent to a server.
